This will involve an informal chat about your employment/educational experience. We will discuss your motivation for volunteering with BIEE and give you more information about what we do. During the chat, we will discuss the volunteering roles available and your suitability. If you are successful at this stage, you will move onto Stage 3. Successful interviewees will be notified within 24 hours, then you can come for a trial.

During this period, you will work alongside other volunteers. You will have support mechanisms in place to make your volunteering experience enjoyable and answer any questions. Furthermore, with plenty of opportunities to understand the work of BIEE, it will be easy to decide if the role is right for you. Furthermore, also allow us to assess your suitability for the role. Should we feel you are a risk to our organisational values or others we will end your voluntary work immediately.

This will involve an informal chat to discuss your volunteering experience during the trial period. We will discuss your suitability for the volunteering opportunities available. This will also be an opportunity for you to decide whether you would like to continue volunteering with us.

We will complete the necessary paperwork including a Volunteer Agreement (which outlines expectations and volunteer code of conduct). At this stage, we will contact your referees as well as completing DBS checks if necessary.

Your volunteering position will be confirmed via email after we obtain references. Note that, should we not receive acceptable references, your voluntary work with us will end.

Once you have had your position confirmed, you will be formally inducted and receive your identity badge. We will provide you with all the relevant training on our policies and procedures.
