Bee inspired to learn
Bee Inspired Eco Education is a community interest company working with clubs, schools, and groups. Using bees, we run programmes and activities to inspire children and communities. Our aim is to help them explore new things, live mindfully, and learn about nature and sustainability.
BIEE is based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We centre our focus on the communities and schools within the Leeds postcode area. We are particularly keen to promote eco education within Leeds’ inner city communities.
Through grants and generous donations, BIEE activities can be enjoyed by communities that are unable to self-fund.
Opportunities to inspire
As a community interest company, we operate to benefit the West Yorkshire community we serve, rather than for private profit. This means we need all the help we can get. We value inclusivity and diversity, and we aim to reach every section of our community.
By inspiring children, young adults, and their families to care for our pollinators, we can help them improve their own lives by enhancing their environment, boosting their mental health, and strengthening social cohesion.

What we’ve been up to
The kids at Clayton Primary School are still buzzing from their What’s the Buzz workshop in October.
Bee Inspired Eco Education was brought in to the school by Participate Projects as part of their The Venturists project.
At the start of the session a quick show of hand revealed only two children liked bees, but after just one hour we had won over 60% of the class! Everyone had a fabulous time getting hands on with all the kit, learning lots of facts in a fun and inspiring way. Thanks for letting us come to see you!
We really enjoyed the session. Pace was good which the group needed due to concentration levels – if we had more time longer on the group activities would be good but it gave the children a real flavour in a short period of time. All the children were engaged and and participated in all the activities and actively listened.
